Today marks the 106th anniversary of the David Bek Oaths. Last year, on this very day, together with members and supporters of our movement, we went to Spitakavor not only to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Oaths, but also to bring them back to life in the 21st century. Our nation is dying, and our Fatherland stands on the brink of complete fragmentation. We have no doubt that only by reviving these Oaths can we bring about a new Armenian national awakening.
Each of us must contribute our own small share to this sacred struggle and to the realization of this most important goal, no matter how small that contribution may be, because it is our duty to our heroic ancestors and to future generations. Ten years ago, I was teaching physics to college and university students in California. Today, here in my Homeland and within the limits of my abilities, I am trying to preach the ideas of Armenian nationalism to the new generation in this modern era, because there is no other path to salvation. We must show everyone that Armenian nationalism is not dying, but is instead taking on new life through the blessing of Nzhdeh’s spirit.
