The largest country on Earth by land area — a nuclear superpower with one of the biggest armies in the world — has, for nearly four years now, been unable to conquer tiny Ukraine or defeat the puppet clown Zelensky, despite suffering hundreds of thousands of casualties and crippling its own economy in the process. It has sunk into a swamp and cannot get out. Yet we are expected to believe that this same state supposedly managed, 85 years ago (when it was in an even worse condition), to defeat NS Germany singlehandedly — without the massive financial, military, and strategic support of the West. That is pure absurdity, and the Russians know it perfectly well. The Russian army’s strategy and organization are a disgrace, whose only “strength” lies in its numbers and in its utter disregard for the lives of its own soldiers. This war has revealed that Russia’s military power is built more on illusion than on reality.

Vladimir Putin knows very well that his country has found itself in an extremely perilous situation. Turkey is in no less alarming condition, as its economy, too, has been steadily declining year after year. All signs point to the fact that the neo-Bolshevik Russian Federation is heading toward internal collapse — just as the Soviet Union disintegrated after the end of the Soviet–Afghan War. The dying Russian Empire, which in three years will mark its 300th anniversary (and empires rarely survive beyond three centuries), is living out its final years. Its ultimate collapse will be far more catastrophic than the combined falls of Tsarist Russia and the Soviet Union.

That collapse will, of course, in its initial phase, cause great chaos and upheaval in our own country as well, since this post-Soviet, puppet neo-Bolshevik republic has, regrettably, remained dependent on that vile empire in almost every way. Yet it will be the duty and responsibility of Armenian nationalists to seize that coming crisis as a historic opportunity — to ensure that, instead of chaos, a true national state is built in Armenia, one that restores order and opens a new and glorious chapter in our history.

“Empires are not maintained by strength but by illusion. When the illusion fades, the empire falls.” - George Orwell
