Robert Abajyan’s heroic example is important for Armenian nationalists because he showed that an Armenian can remain fearless and dignified even in the face of death. He chose to blow himself up along with the enemy rather than surrender, proving with his very body that the honor of the Armenian soldier and the defense of the homeland stand above everything else. His deed reminds us that in a decisive moment we must choose struggle, not surrender.

We must carry this same fiery spirit not only into the battlefield, but also into our political struggle, because forging victory in every arena requires the same approach.
