Last week, Hayk Gasparyan, the commander of the “Arbat” battalion...

Last week, Hayk Gasparyan, the commander of the “Arbat” battalion, was killed on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In December 2022, he had received a state award from Russian President Vladimir Putin “for the heroism shown during the special military operation.” Over the past four years, thousands of our compatriots living in Russia, like Hayk, have been killed or maimed while fighting for the white Turks.

Let the Russophile neo-Bolsheviks say something about this. Those who, for years, have directly or indirectly argued that Armenia would be safer by becoming part of Russia. Under such nightmarish conditions, would they send their own sons to slaughter in Eastern Europe in order to advance the Kremlin’s expansionist policy, or would they try to keep them out of the army? If Armenia were part of Russia today, just imagine how many tens of thousands of casualties we would already have.

I have said it and will continue to repeat it: the best way to live safely and peacefully is to fight and sacrifice for our independence. All other “solutions” are either deception or enemy propaganda.
