As I have already mentioned, any superficial rapprochement of Armenia with the United States at this moment in no way means that Armenia is “breaking away from Russia.” In fact, from a long-term perspective, such steps will only benefit the Russian Federation and its imperial ambitions, as it will give them a pretext to remain inactive again when Azerbaijan, acting under Kremlin orders, attacks Armenia in the future. When the US finds itself in a somewhat more chaotic situation, Moscow will give the dictator of Baku a “green light” at an opportune moment, after which it will not protect us—just as it did not protect Artsakh—arguing that we pursued an “anti-Russian” policy. They will say, “Let America save you,” and when it does not, they will say, “Fine, then we will come to your rescue on this or that condition.” That will be the moment when they will do to all of Armenia what they did to Artsakh. It’s the same scheme; only this time they will have to act more subtly.

Those who harbor false hopes that such a signing can bring long-term peace are either self-deceived or have learned nothing from history and geopolitics. Azerbaijan will not stop until it establishes its full dominance over Armenia, turning us into a subordinate state. This is the bitter reality, which constitutes a core part of the joint Russian-Turkish-Zionist plan aimed at destroying Armenia’s independence.

We continue to be hypnotized by false slogans of “peace” instead of physically and mentally preparing our people for the fateful struggle that inevitably awaits us. The more we believe such lies and place our hopes on such maneuvers, the harsher the consequences will be. It must be constantly emphasized: if we want peace, we must prepare for a life-or-death struggle so that November 9, 2020, never repeats itself.
