It is both tragic and disturbing that so many creatures in Armenia genuinely believe that entering some kind of union with Russia is our only hope for salvation—when in reality, such a move would mark the definitive collapse of our statehood and lead to the erasure of Armenian identity itself. The neo-Bolsheviks in Armenia may bear Armenian names, but in thought and spirit, they are essentially Russian (if not something else). Deep down, they hold nothing but disdain for Armenian values. One has to wonder: how many of these neo-Bolsheviks would actually be willing to send their sons to fight and die on the Russian-Ukrainian front? They convince themselves that surrendering our independence will make them safer—failing to grasp a fundamental truth: if you do not fight and make sacrifices for your own sovereign state, you will eventually be forced to sacrifice even more for the empire that devoured your state. These freeloading, unpatriotic, cowardly, short-sighted, and self-serving traitors are precisely the reason we’ve been reduced from Greater Armenia to our current state. Throughout our history, Armenia has always been plagued from within by such anti-national and subversive propaganda. Our enemies would have no problem with us if we simply laid down our arms, surrendered our independence, and became a people of mere merchants, singers, and dancers. What they truly fear—what threatens them—is when we choose to hold our weapons firmly and defend our independence as fiercely as the light of our eyes. That is why they hate and fear Armenian nationalists: because we stand for exactly these principles. We understand that a true nationalist is one who, regardless of internal or external circumstances, is prepared to fight to the very last breath for the sovereignty of their homeland. It is people like us who strike fear into the hearts of our enemies—and we wear that as a badge of honor.
