The Turkish geopolitical doctrine known as “Blue Homeland” (Mavi Vatan) aims to expand Turkey’s influence and control in the Black Sea, Aegean Sea, and Eastern Mediterranean, including maritime boundaries, natural resources, and naval presence.

In Greece, it is widely perceived as a threat to national sovereignty, particularly regarding the Aegean islands and their maritime rights. This dispute remains one of the main sources of regional tension.

In recent developments (2025–2026), Turkey has continued implementing this doctrine by expanding its naval exercises, including large-scale “Blue Homeland” drills across the three surrounding seas, while also increasing parliamentary and political discussions on more firmly establishing its maritime jurisdiction claims in domestic legislation.

We, Armenian nationalists, especially our movement express our full support for our Greek brothers and sisters who are resisting these Turkish expansionist ambitions. Turkey has long been a threat not only to Greece, but to the stability of the entire region.
