The current borders of the Republic of Armenia, covering approximately 29,800 sq. km, do not constitute a viable territory for achieving full independence. In the Russian-Turkish-Zionist treaties of Moscow 1921 and later Kars in 1921, Armenia’s borders were deliberately drawn this small and with this artificial configuration to ensure that our economy and security would always be dependent on external forces. With these Soviet-imposed borders, Armenia can only be de jure independent, but never de facto.

We had the opportunity to correct this in 1991 when, instead of declaring an artificial Third Republic, we could have positioned ourselves as the legal successor to the First Republic, rejecting the Soviet Armenian map. This was particularly possible in 1994, when we could have politically solidified our military victory, but, of course, this did not happen because our political elite was serving the Kremlin and its interests.

Now, we have a leadership that, according to many pro-Russian analysts and politicians, is supposedly anti-Russian and wants to sever Armenia’s ties with Russia. Yet, ironically, it sanctifies that Soviet/Russian Armenian map as the only "real" and legitimate borders of Armenia. This is a complete contradiction, as well as the absurdity, that Pashinyan claims to be strengthening our independence, yet he upholds a map that, as already mentioned, prevents Armenia from being truly independent. By doing this, Pashinyan serves the enemy’s interests and only reinforces the Russian-Turkish-Zionist treaty and alliance.

If we truly want an independent and powerful state, we must correct past mistakes, recognize the true borders of our Fatherland, and do everything necessary to establish them by force and later solidify them diplomatically.
