Pro-Russians support the November 9 declaration and oppose the August 8 agreement, while pro-Westerners support the August 8 agreement and (not all of them) oppose the November 9 declaration. But pro-Armenian nationalists reject both documents, because both are humiliating and anti-Armenian. They not only contradict our national interests but also pose a direct threat to our state’s independence.

August 8 is in fact the continuation of November 9, and for any rational patriot, it is impossible to oppose one without opposing the other. Both stem from Russian–Turkish–Zionist interests, effectively paving the way for the terrorist and criminal state of Azerbaijan to establish its full dominance over Armenia — dismembering and destroying our sovereign statehood.

When a national political movement comes to power and builds a truly national state, it will be obliged to annul, tear apart, and cast into the dustbin of history these two disastrous documents. We support only those agreements that we ourselves will force the enemy to sign — gradually paving the way toward the reestablishment of Greater Armenia.

Many may call us “dreamers,” “romantics,” or “fanatics” when they hear such words from our lips — but we have no problem with that whatsoever. It is better to be that way than to be beggars, cowards, wretches, slaves, or traitors.
