Last week, the bells of the Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin rang as an alarm—for the first time in the past 107 years. The last time they rang like this was during the Battle of Sardarapat.

But a question arises:
Why didn’t those same bells ring five years ago, from the very first day of the 44-day treacherous war, when Artsakh came under attack by the Russian–Turkish–Zionist tandem?
Why didn’t they ring two years ago, when Artsakh was completely and forcibly depopulated of Armenians?
Why didn’t they ring at the moment when the anti-national authorities, the traitorous fake opposition, and the general staff collectively betrayed Artsakh—stabbing our army in the back?

Weren’t those fatal moments far more worthy of alarm bells than the arrest of Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, a former Nikol supporter, open ally of the Communist Party, and servant of Russian interests
Those bells did not ring, because their sound could have awakened the nation, shattered the wall of indifference, and united the people against all our enemies.
Those bells are rooted deep in our memory and in the depths of our soul. They speak directly to our subconscious.

But the Catholicos and his subordinates did not act, because they had received no such instruction from the North. Yes—from the Kremlin itself.

If this is not betrayal, then what is betrayal?
If this is not proof that our Church, like our government, has been internally hijacked by anti-Armenian and anti-Christian forces, then what can be considered proof?
When the national state is finally established, those bells must ring without delay—as a signal of a new national awakening. So that Syunik does not share the fate of Artsakh. So that this time, we may unite and defeat the enemy—defending our land, our independent statehood, and our spiritual heritage to our very last breath.
