In modern history, there has never been a terrorist act like the one that took place on October 27, 1999, inside the Parliament of Armenia. That day, at the hands of domestic terrorists, the country’s last remaining military-political elite was gunned down and decapitated. It was a clear message from Moscow to the Armenian nation—that in this so-called “Third Republic,” we must no longer hope to fully unite Artsakh with Armenia and become a truly independent state.

Only Russian intelligence and its puppets possessed the means to organize such a horrific operation—one that truly killed the hopes and faith of many toward the future. Through this symbolic crime, the Kremlin indirectly made it known that it was fully returning to the region. The deceit and betrayal of our treacherous “ally” truly know no bounds.
