For our ancestors, Navasard was more than just a holiday – it was a day of victory and the rebirth of life, the dawn of a new year, blessed by our struggle and the will of the Creator.

Navasard began with the victory of Hayk Nahapet, when thousands of years ago, on this very day, he overthrew the rule of the tyrant Bel and granted freedom to his lost and divided people. That victory marked the birth of the Armenian nation and the spirit of resistance that flows in our veins to this day.

Today, Armenia stands at the weakest point in its entire history. But moments of weakness are when rebirth begins. Navasard reminds us that we are the children of warrior ancestors who have risen from destruction time and again. This is our moment to cast off the chains of defeat, to renew our oath to our Fatherland and our independent statehood, and to begin a new and long road of ascent.
