Two days ago, on May 9, Artzrun Hovhannisyan gave an interview on Petros Ghazaryan’s platform, and, surprisingly, he said a lot of truths—perhaps for the first time from the lips of a state official of Armenia in the past 34 years.
The most important of those truths is that after the Soviet army's defeat at Stalingrad, the next target for German attack was going to be Turkey. This was because National Socialist Germany had developed Operation Gertrude, in which the Armenian Legion and its command structure were involved. After the successful implementation of that operation, of course, a much larger and more powerful Armenia was going to be created—liberated from Bolshevik occupation.
When I first spoke about this operation nearly twenty years ago, everyone thought I was crazy and inventing things out of thin air. But now I see this fact spreading more and more, as the shameless Soviet-Jewish lies fed to our nation over the past hundred years are becoming increasingly obvious. In any case, this is a positive and welcome development—it’s a sign of awakening.
However, we've reached a point where, due to the treachery and incompetence of this leadership, there is so much distrust and hatred toward them from the people that whatever any representative of the current authorities says is almost always perceived negatively. For example, even if they say that tree leaves are green and the sky is blue, most of the people would start doubting whether the leaves are truly green and the sky truly blue. That’s why Artzrun’s words provoked such hostility toward the government, and that historical truth became the object of ridicule. Perhaps that’s even the reason why the clearly pro-Russian Artzrun Hovhannisyan said something like that so openly in an interview—so that when Armenian nationalists speak about Operation Gertrude, part of the population will accuse us of deliberately pushing “Nikol-style” propaganda, which is simply absurd.
I don’t know exactly what kind of psychological games are being played, but in any case, the fact remains the fact—regardless of who says it—and we must not forget this. The sooner the myths and lies about World War II created by the international Zionist media are shattered, the more clearly we’ll be able to see our present and take better steps toward our future.
