These days, we have a Nikol who, by collaborating with former traitors to the Armenian nation, five years ago conspiratorially led us to a humiliating defeat—treacherously plunging a knife into the back of our army and state. After the war, he has continued to preach defeatism and to pursue a neo-Bolshevik policy of concessions. Indirectly, he promotes the idea that the Armenian nation must lay down its arms, reconcile itself with this disgraceful condition, and accept the endless demands of the Baku tyrant and Azerbaijan’s dominance over Armenia—something that will unequivocally lead our independent statehood to destruction.

However, let us remember that a hundred years ago we had a devoted patriotic Nikol, who is the complete opposite of today’s nation-betraying and land-surrendering Nikol. He preached and demonstrated through his personal example that the Armenian nation must not lay down its arms and submit to the enemy, but on the contrary, must take up arms and resist the foe until victory becomes ours and Armenia is truly liberated.

Let us forget today’s Nikol, and one day consign the memory of him and those like him to the dustbin of history, while keeping alive in our memory the glorious and immortal legacy of Nikol Duman and those like him.
