During the years of the First Artsakh War, before and after it, and up until the war unleashed by Azerbaijan in 2020, we believed that the fearfulness of the Turk was exaggerated. But for the Armenian warrior, it has been proven more than once.
In this video, it's clear how the Turkish commander is forcibly pushing his troops toward the battlefield. I don't believe such a thing could ever happen among us, Armenians.
During the most recent Artsakh wars, the combat readiness and training of Azerbaijani army units were excessively glorified. Yes, they were trained and fairly well-armed, but beneath that uniform lies this — what you see here — the blood and spirit of a coward, a small-souled man.
In war, beyond being armed, one must have high fighting spirit and be a true warrior — driven by an idea and dedication — something true Armenians have never lacked.
Yes, we have now lost faith in our own strength. We are disheartened. But all of this can be restored — with a powerful state and a brave leader.
