Civilization did not begin 6,000 years ago in Sumeria...

Civilization did not begin 6,000 years ago in Sumeria, as the history books now conspire to tell us, but began more than 12,000 years ago in the Armenian Highlands, home to Portasar, the world's oldest monument ever discovered. The world has forgotten that the homeland of the Aryan race and the cradle of civilization is the Armenian highlands, but we will keep reminding them this fact until it becomes clear to all historians once again.

"If we accept civilization as a sedentary way of life or as a political organization of society, then we can say that its foundation has started since the time of Göbkli Tepe (Portasar). The people who live here have created the foundation of society. Agriculture, a sedentary lifestyle, and civilization arose in that region, centered around Portasar - the world's oldest religious structure. The civilization then spread along the Mediterranean Sea, North Africa, West Asia, and then all over Europe."

- German archaeologist Klaus Schmidt
